UNIT SUMMARY. Students read ALICE ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND and relate it to contemporary life. They research a problem from the STORY that is still an issue today and collaborate to find a solution. They create a publication or presentation about their solution and share it with an audience

Curriculum Framing Questions Essential Question What does the past tell us about the future? Unit Questions Why is Alice Adventures a famous story all over the world? Content Questions What are the elements of the adventures stories? What is your point of view? In what ways are all of the Alice stories from around the world similar?

Alice' Adventures in wonderland Project This project will help my students develop 21 st century skills by: Collaborating with peers. Analyzing Vocabulary about the text and to answer Unit Questions. Solving problems and making decisions about their experiment. Communicating with others in a newsletter.

Gauging Student Needs Assessment Purpose of the Assessment –To gather information about what students already know and what they are going to know about adventures. –What I want to learn from my students? –I want to find out what they already know about the Unit Questions and how much they have an understanding about the text. –How I have tried to promote higher-order thinking? –I ask students to find relationships and make a discussion about the story. –How the assessment information helps me and my students plan for upcoming activities in the unit? –If students have misconceptions about story I can discuss again If students have different levels of understanding about the importance of story I can provide various resources. Questions will be asked to check the knowledge about the story.
