Canada, Ireland, England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Portugal, Cyprus, Israel, Palestine, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Netherlands, Belgium Name three counties you would like to visit and why? France to see Paris, the museums, Tour d France Argentina, interested in the culture China to see the cities

Review and Background Purpose of Citizenship in the World Understand your current status as a citizen of the world and your rights and responsibilities. Discuss. Explain why you should understand values, traditions, and concerns of people in other counties Similarities and differences compared to Citizenship in the Nation and Citizenship in the Community Similarity: understanding rights and responsibilities of a citizen in context. Explain what is a citizen. Difference: different context, different legal role of citizens Explain what it means to be a citizen of the world.

Requirements Review what you already know #1, #5 – October 3 Discuss how to complete all required items (see possible schedule below): #2, #4, #6 – October 24 #3 (for presentation to MB class) – November 7 #7 (for presentation to MB class) – November 21 You will need to read the entire MB book to complete this course
