What kind of homework do you usually assign? How long should homework take on most nights? Is homework graded? What is the point scale? Do you assign homework on the weekend? How much should I get involved with my child’s homework? Should I help my child complete his or her homework? Should I correct my child’s homework? How do I communicate with you if I have questions about my child’s homework? What happens if my child does not turn in his or her homework? Should I let you know if my child is struggling or taking longer than expected to complete his or her homework?

Make a list of your family’s homework issues & problems Set up a homework study calendar Determine the basic materials needed to complete homework (grade-level) Put together a homework study box Clean out backpacks weekly Set up assignment folders Establish a place for your child’s book bag Assign a place for your child to put his or her homework to be signed
