Hail Mary Love

Glory be O My Jesus

Baptism of Jesus First Luminous Mystery Jesus came to John to be baptised not because he needed to be but to show that he wanted to be obedient to His Father. Jesus was like us in all things except sin, but since He came to bear our sins he also shared in the Baptism of repentance that each of us must receive that we may be reborn. We all desire to hear the Father say to us “this is my son (daughter) in whom I am well pleased for you have listened to my Son Jesus and have been obedient to my desires for you.”

Our Father

Now they had been sent from the Pharisees. They asked him “why then are you baptizing if you are neither the Messiah, nor Elijah, nor the prophet?” (Jn. 1:24-25) Hail Mary 1

John answered them, “I baptize with water. Among you stands one whom you do not know, the one who is coming after me; I am not worthy to untie the thong of His sandals”. (Jn. 1:26-27) Hail Mary 2

This took place in Bethany across the Jordan where John was baptizing. (Jn. 1:28) Hail Mary 3

The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him and declared, “Here is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (Jn. 1:29) Hail Mary 4

“This is He of whom I said, ‘after me comes a man who ranks ahead of me because He was before me.’” (Jn. 1:30) Hail Mary 5

“I myself did not know him; but I came baptizing with water for this reason, that He might be revealed to Israel.” (Jn. 1:31) Hail Mary 6

And John testified, “I saw the Spirit descending from Heaven like a dove, and it remained on Him.” (Jn. 1:32) Hail Mary 7

“I myself did not know Him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘He on whom you see the Spirit descend and remain is the one who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’” (Jn. 1:33) Hail Mary 8

“And I myself have seen and have testified that this is the Son of God.” (Jn. 1:34) Hail Mary 9

The next day John again was standing with two of his disciples, and as he watched Jesus walk by, he exclaimed, “Look, here is the Lamb of God.” The two disciples heard him say this and they followed Jesus. (Jn. 1:35-37) Hail Mary 10

Glory be O My Jesus

Wedding Feast of Cana Second Luminous Mystery In this mystery we feast upon the over abundance of Love of our Lord Jesus. We witness the love of Jesus for His Mother Mary. We learn about the importance of Marriage before God, and we learn that to ask is to receive, and so, as we pray this decade, let us petition our God for His generous mercies and blessings.

Our Father

On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the Mother of Jesus was there. (Jn. 2:1) Hail Mary 1

Jesus and His disciples had also been invited to the wedding. (Jn. 2:2) Hail Mary 2

When the wine gave out, the Mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.” (Jn. 2:3) Hail Mary 3

And Jesus said to Her, ”Woman, what concern is that to You and Me? My hour has not yet come.” (Jn. 2:4) Hail Mary 4

His Mother said to the servants, “Do whatever He tells you.” (Jn. 2:5) Hail Mary 5

Now standing there were six stone jars for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding 20 or 30 gallons. Jesus said to them, “Fill the jars with water.” And they filled them to the brim. (Jn. 2:6-7) Hail Mary 6

He said to them, “Now draw some out, and take it to the chief steward.” So they took it to him. (Jn. 2:8) Hail Mary 7

When the steward tasted the water that had become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants that had drawn the water knew), the steward called the bridegroom. (Jn. 2:9) Hail Mary 8

He said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and then the inferior wine after the guests have become drunk. But you have kept the good wine until now.” (Jn. 2:10) Hail Mary 9

Jesus did this, the first of his signs, in Cana of Galilee, and revealed his glory; and His disciples believed in Him. (Jn. 2:11) Hail Mary 10

Glory be O My Jesus

Proclamation of the Kingdom of God Third Luminous Mystery Jesus came to proclaim the love of God for us and to tell us about the home He has prepared for us. Jesus desires us to dwell with Him for all eternity in eternal bliss with Him. Jesus has come that we may be able to receive the love of God. Jesus wants us to be one with Him even as He and the Father are one.

Our Father

“Very truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit. What is born of the flesh is flesh, what is born of the Spirit is Spirit.” (Jn. 3:5-6) Hail Mary 1

“Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty. The water that I will give them will become in them a spring of water gushing up to eternal life.” (Jn. 4:13-14) Hail Mary 2

God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in Spirit and truth. The woman said to him, “I know that the Messiah is coming (who is called the Christ). When he comes he will proclaim all things to us.” Jesus said to her, “I am He, the one who is speaking to you.” (Jn. 4:24-26) Hail Mary 3

“It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that Jesus is truly the saviour of the world.” (Jn. 4:42) Hail Mary 4

Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” (Jn. 6:35) Hail Mary 5

“Everything that the Father gives to Me will come to Me, and anyone who comes to Me I will never drive away; for I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that I should lose nothing of all that He has given Me, but raise it up on the last day.” (Jn. 6:37-39) Hail Mary 6

“My sheep hear My voice. I know them, and they follow Me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish. No one will snatch them out of My hand. What My Father has given Me is greater than all else, and no one can snatch it out of the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.” (Jn. 10:27-30) Hail Mary 7

Because of this many of His disciples turned back and no longer went about with Him. So Jesus asked the twelve, “Do you also wish to go away?” Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom can we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and know that You are the Holy One of God.” (Jn. 6:68-69) Hail Mary 8

Jesus spoke to them saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (Jn. 8:12) Hail Mary 9

“If you continue in My word, you are truly My disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” (Jn. 8:31-32) Hail Mary 10

Glory be O My Jesus

Transfiguration Fourth Luminous Mystery Lord Jesus, on the mountain top You transfigured Yourself so that we might see a glimpse of what awaits us in eternity when we rest with You. The light of eternal perfection which You are, we ask You at this time to shine Yourself upon us as we meditate and honour and praise You during this time with You through the intercession of Your Mother Mary.

Our Father

Six days latter Jesus took with Him Peter and James and his brother John and led them up a high mountain, by themselves. (Matt. 17:1) Hail Mary 1

And He was transfigured before them, and His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became dazzling white. (Matt. 17:2) Hail Mary 2

Suddenly there appeared to them Moses and Elijah talking with Him. (Matt. 17:3) Hail Mary 3

Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; If You wish, I will make three dwellings here, one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud over shadowed them, and from the cloud a voice said, “This is my Son the Beloved; with Him I am well pleased, listen to Him.” (Matt. 17:4-5) Hail Mary 4

When the disciples heard this, they fell on the ground and were overcome by fear. But Jesus came and touched them, saying, “Get up and do not be afraid.” And when they looked up, they saw no one except Jesus Himself alone. (Matt. 17:6-8) Hail Mary 5

As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus ordered them, “Tell no one about the vision until after the Son of Man has been raised from the dead.” (Matt. 17:9) Hail Mary 6

“I tell you that Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but they did to him whatever they pleased. So also the Son of Man is about to suffer at their hands.” (Matt. 17:12) Hail Mary 7

“Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like children, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Whoever becomes humble like this child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.” (Matt. 18:3-5) Hail Mary 8

“For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we had been eyewitnesses of His majesty. For He received honour and glory from God the Father when that voice was conveyed to Him by the Majestic Glory, saying, “This is My Son, my beloved, with Whom I am well pleased”, We ourselves heard this voice come from Heaven, while we were with Him on the Holy Mountain. (2 Pet. 1:16-18) Hail Mary 9

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him may not perish but may have eternal life.” (Jn. 3:16) Hail Mary 10

Glory be O My Jesus

Institution of the Holy Eucharist Fifth Luminous Mystery Jesus died and rose from death to conquer the last victory of sin. Jesus knew that we would need His victory in our lives for our eternal salvation and so He made Himself ever present to us through His gift of the ever presence of Himself in the Eucharist.

Our Father

He said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer; for I tell you, I will not eat it until it is fulfilled in the Kingdom of God.” (Lk. 22:15-16) Hail Mary 1

Then He took a cup, and after giving thanks He said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves; for I tell you that from now on I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the Kingdom of God comes.” (Lk. 22:17-18) Hail Mary 2

Then He took a loaf of bread and when He had given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.” (Lk. 22:19) Hail Mary 3

And He did the same with the cup after supper, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood.” (Lk. 22:20) Hail Mary 4

While they were eating, Jesus took a loaf of bread, and after blessing it He broke it, gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” (Matt. 26:26) Hail Mary 5

Then He took a cup, and after giving thanks He gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you; for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins,” (Matt. 26:27-28) Hail Mary 6

“I tell you, I will never again drink of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.” (Matt. 26:29) Hail Mary 7

For I received from the Lord what I also handed on to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when He was betrayed took a loaf of bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is My body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.” (1 Cor. 11:23-24) Hail Mary 8

In the same way He took the cup also, after supper, saying, “This is the new covenant in My blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” (1 Cor. 11:25) Hail Mary 9

For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup; you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes. (1 Cor. 11:26) Hail Mary 10

Glory be O My Jesus Hail, Holy Queen In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit Amen
