The organizations seek collaborations with all nations through their representative governments to advance “Traditional Medicine.”

5 The International WONM and IPSP Assists During Public Health Emergencies

6 The Mission of the WONM The Mission of the WONM affirms the restoration, sustenance, and effective delivery of “Traditional Medicine,” “Humanitarian Medicine,” and/or “Integrative Medicine” in the world health care system, and the attainment of the highest level of wellness, especially for impoverished people in developing nations.

7 HUMANITARIAN HEALTHCARE TO UNDER-SERVED PEOPLE

8 WONM-IPSP The World Organization of Natural Medicine (WONM) is accredited under the IPSP for humanitarian endeavors similar to the WHO. WHO MISSION: The WHO's constitution states that its objective "is the attainment by all peoples of the highest possible level of health.” Its major task is to combat disease, especially key infectious diseases, and to promote the general health of people worldwide.

9 We Help Build Schools and Clinics

10 UNIVERSITY OF HUMANITARIAN MEDICINE (UHM)
The UHM is a non-profit educational institution chartered under the International Parliament for Safety and Peace (IPSP) It is the educational component of the World Organization of Natural Medicine (WONM) and collaborates with WONM’s Clinics for Humanity Project. The UHM’s focus is education as the key to civilization’s health, peace, safety, and sustainability. The University’s educational programs address social conditions at the root of illnesses, and the barriers to “Traditional Medicine” and most effective healthcare.

11 UHM CLINICAL TRAININGS
UHM students and residents acquire clinical skills by administering healthcare to impoverished people worldwide using “Traditional Medicine.”

12 The UHM’s Mission To ensure access to traditional and humanitarian medicine in healthcare globally by affecting health policies of nation states to help underserved people; and to promote humanitarian values through education in “Traditional Medicine” (also called “Integrative Medicine,” “Humanitarian Medicine”) honoring “Natural Medicine.”

13 UHM Also Collaborates with the Clinics for Humanity Project of the WOHM, Serving Impoverished People

14 The UHM’s Goals: Develop and operate educational programs in humanitarian medicine for the general public, undergraduate and graduate students, and for practicing physicians. To provide humanitarian services in collaboration with the WONM Clinics for Humanity Project in communities with challenged technological, financial, and human resources.

15 “Each One Teaches One” We believe in this philosophy and practice to spread empowerment until the whole village, town, city, county, and country is better informed and self-sufficient. This can only be achieved by protecting and promoting the practice of Traditional Medicine in healthcare, along with clinical practices best suited and most cost-effective to indigenous people. Education for empowerment is the key to poverty relief, not “hand-outs.”

16 University of Humanitarian Medicine Foundation (UHMF) and the Canadian College of Humanitarian Medicine (CCHM) Operates to affect policy changes that increase humanitarian and “Traditional Medicine” in health care, while addressing the root causes of health inequities. Collaborates with other educational institutions and organizations advancing humanitarian medicine-related activities. Advances educational programs that reflect our humanitarian mission of teaching and researching to improve patient care and community service.

17 Humanitarian Action

18 Humanitarianism Humanitarianism is the doctrine that people's duty is to promote human welfare. Humanitarianism in health care embraces the idea of people administering humane treatment(s) to assist others in the safest and most cost effective manner(s). Humanitarianism drives people to save lives, alleviate suffering, and promote human dignity.

19 Disaster & Health Management
Humanitarianism is based on a view that all human beings deserve respect and dignity and should be treated as such. Therefore, humanitarians work towards advancing the well-being of humanity as a whole.

20 Humanitarian Medicine
Alleviates suffering, unconditionally, without financial or ulterior motive. Affirms the conviction that all people have equal dignity by virtue of their membership in humanity, thus, deserve assistance whenever needed, and where ever possible, without discrimination.

21 HUMANITARIAN MEDICINE HEALTHCARE FOR THE POOR

22 Humanitarian Medicine
Embraces the humanitarian aspects of all healthcare and healing paradigms. Respects life and the premise to “do no harm.” Encourages treatments in “Traditional Medicine.” Emphasizes self-care and personal empowerment. Promotes prevention and inexpensive, and most cost-effective, health care.

23 Why UHMF-CCHM Advances Humanitarian Medicine:
Governments are restricted in providing cost-effective primary and preventative healthcare to the poor. Affordable health care is also needed where allopathic medicine, including vaccinations, has failed. Health and safety is damaged by war economies. A world-wide organization is needed to advance peace along with reasonable traditional or natural health care. A most honorable and responsible paradigm for world health and lasting peace is available now by advancing Humanitarian Medicine.

24 The UHMF-CCHM Advances a New Concept in Health Care Delivery

25 UNIVERSITIES FEDERATION

Our federation includes: (1) an international community of scholars, (2) a Humanitarian Resource Institute, and (3) a think tank to support organizational goals and missions.

26 CLINICS FOR HUMANITY CANADA
A non-profit, non-governmental, politically and religiously neutral organization that is accredited, recognized, and supported by the World Organization of Natural Medicine (WONM) as its international clinical arm.

27 UHMF-CCHM Group to Haiti
