2 Allowance for time lost: Substitutions Assessment of injuries Removal of injured players Wasting time Any other cause But how much time should we allow??

3 Substitutions Examples from the professional game indicate about 30-45 seconds consumed for simple substitutions Speed it up! Suggested time: 30 seconds

4 Assessment of Injury Simple injury: 30 seconds Speed it up! Suggested time: Use common sense. You may not need to add time if the delay is 30 seconds or less

5 Assessment of Injury Injury with coach/trainer: 1 minute Speed it up! Suggested time: Use common sense. You may not need to add time if the delay is 30 seconds or less

6 Removal of Injured Player Removal for treatment: 2 -3 minutes Speed it up! Suggested time: 2-3 minutes

7 Caution with Injury Can take up to 1 minute (or more) Speed it up! Suggested time: Use common sense. One minute is probably reasonable.

8 Send-Off with Injury Can take up to 1 minute (or more) Speed it up! Suggested time: Use common sense. One minute is probably reasonable.

9 Wasting Time Usually 15-30 seconds Speed it up! Suggested time: Use common sense and add time as appropriate.
