3. Computer and Information Systems Management
They require a minimum of a bachelors degree in Computer Science. MBAs are preferred with an emphasis in information systems.
They can either work for a company directly or they can consult
They work with a companies executives to discuss goals in the area of IT for that company
They create and implement plans to achieve the goals and make recommendations for company technology.
They oversee the development and implementation of technology within the company and ensure that the systems run properly
They are quick thinkers and heavily relied upon to solve technological problems.

4. Computer Scientist Usually they have a PhD in computer Sciences
They work for all kinds of companies, such as government, airlines, corporations, and sometimes they are entrepreneurs.
They invent new technology, or they find new ways to implement existing technology.
They do heavy amounts of research

5. Computer Programmer
They usually have a bachelors in Computer Science with an emphasis on programming
Create, test, and modify code
They work with developers to write specific software
Are able to develop software that stores data, calculates, renders images, interacts etc.
They are fluent in multiple programming languages (i.e. C++, C#, Java, etc)
They are literally on the cutting edge of technology

6. Computer Systems Analyst
They typically have a minimum of a Bachelor’s in CS. A lot of employers with specialty services will require an advanced Masters degree
They work with companies to optimize networks and systems software
They consult with management on better ways to utilize existing technology
They plan and implement new software and technology
They network different computer systems
They test, troubleshoot, and debug existing systems

7. Database Administrator
They usually require a Bachelor’s degree in CS
They are charged with handling stored information on databases
They are responsible for coming up with different ways to access, store, network, and analyze data within a database.
They deal with data migration and integration
They are responsible for ensuring the security of company information and work with network administrators to ensure the safety and security of company information and programs.

8. Software Engineer They usually require a Bachelor’s degree
They deal more with the design of applications, video game software, network systems software, operating systems software
They work within existing hardware limitations to ensure optimal application efficiency
They have a firm understanding of multiple computer languages and can program in many of them
They understand network systems and how they integrate with applications
They are expected to maintain understanding of current technology software and information. (i.e. certifications etc)

9. I’ve heard rumors CS is a lot of work for not a whole lot of pay
The market is flooded and I’ll never find a job
With all this technology already what kind of future is there?
