Matching the images on the YELLOW Face are the beginning steps to learning about translation, rotation, and reflection.
Translation is when the image slides to a new place but doesn’t change.
You can try this by placing your cube, with the any Face UP, on your desk.
Slide the cube to the RIGHT, LEFT, FRONT, BACK, and DIAGONAL.
It doesn’t matter which way you slide the cube, the image on the faces do not change, only the location of the cube changes.

Rotation is when the cube or Face twists around while keeping one corner in the same place.
You can try this by placing your cube, with any Face UP, on a piece of paper.
Choose a corner and mark the spot on the paper with a dot.
Keep the corner of the cube on the dot, but “rotate” the rest of the cube around the dot.
Rotations are measured by degrees.
A full rotation around the dot, back to the original position, would be 360 degrees.
