Informal Survey The survey was sent to 23 of 24 counties in the Northern Indiana County Warning Forecast Area.

Do you have an organized SKYWARN Group? When Do you Activate Them(i.e. during watches or only when warnings are issued)? 60% have an active group 20% indicate they activate themselves 30% indicate they activate when warnings are issued. 10% indicate they activate when watches are issued.

Do your emergency response agencies deploy for weather watch? If yes, when do they activate (i.e. during watches or only when warnings are issued)? 50% indicated that it is a local agency decision with two counties indicating that emergency response agencies will deploy if requested to do so by EMA. 50% responded that they only deploy for weather watch when warnings are issued.
