2 What are Funds Based on the economic prosperity of a member country, it may have to donate money to the other members of the union. The richer countries provide funds to the poorer countries. These funds are designed to assist in both the economic and social development of the member states. Below are some of the areas in which funds are available

3 The EU provides for member states to access funds in various categories. Agriculture (CAP) - Funds paid to farmers Structural - Funds used to improve a countries infrastructure Fisheries - Paid to people involved in fisheries
