Offside Position vs. Infraction It is not an offense in itself to be in an offside position. So what’s the answer? Neither “A” nor “B” should be penalized for offside. Although “B” is now in an offside position, he/she should not be penalized unless he/she becomes involved in active play. Let’s see what happens next.
