10 *Get a GOOD night’s rest the night before *Eat a GOOD breakfast before you come *Arrive to Swift at 6:00 AM *Leave suitcase by buses/Report to cafeteria *Board the bus at 6:30 AM *Bring backpack onto bus *NO DRINKS ALLOWED ON BUS OFF WE GO!

11 WE ARRIVE AT LAST! RULES TO REMEMBER… NEVER GO ANYWHERE ALONE +Stay with your group +Always be on time +Listen to, respect and obey ALL chaperones and security guards +Be responsible for your things +Be respectful of your roommates +Keep noise to a minimum at all times +Follow all school rules- +If it isn’t allowed at school-it isn’t allowed on the trip!

12 The Hotel Chaperones stay on the same floor as students Each floor has security guards. Four students per room ONLY. Two double-beds. Bathroom with shower and hair dryer. TV, but no Pay-per-view or VCR. Each floor has soda and ice machines, but no refrigerator.

13 SAFETY TIPS SIT IN ASSIGNED SEATS ONLY. ALWAYS TRAVEL IN A GROUP. OBEY CURFEW AT HOTEL. LISTEN TO AND FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS. REPORT PROBLEMS TO CHAPERONES, PRINCIPAL OR SECURITY GUARDS. CARRY THE CARD WITH PHONE NUMBER AT ALL TIMES. OBEY ALL ADULTS. ALL CHAPERONES HAVE WALKIE-TALKIES. SECURITY GUARDS ON FLOOR AT NIGHT. TWO NURSES ON TRIP.

14 If rules are broken… CONSEQUENCES! * Room checks are conducted DAILY. Any damage done to hotel or bus will be student’s responsibility- Your parent/guardian will be called. * Any major violations of expected behavior will result in your parents/guardians being called. * In both cases, YOU explain the problem. * YOU are sent home, at your parents’/guardians’ expense.

15 What About Electronic Devices? NO device capable of Video or Internet Access No Gaming Systems, such as Playstation, X-Box, Wii or Game Cube No Video Devices No laptops or palm pilots No Communication Devices, such as walkie-talkies, beepers or pagers No laser pens

16 What About Cell Phones? BOE policy applies throughout the trip Additional Permission Slip needed To be used in hotel room only to CALL HOME No text messaging, video or Internet Students are NOT permitted to carry cell phones on their person Phones are NOT allowed to be used as cameras No cell? No problem-Phone cards/adults have cell phones

17 BACK AT SWIFT LEAVE WASHINGTON AT 2 PM DINNER ALONG THE WAY ARRIVE BACK AT 9:30PM PICK-UP AT SWIFT IT WAS GREAT FUN!

18 What’s Next? Sign and return slip by November 26 th AND Deposit of $100.00 due November 26 th If 150 students commit to the trip (Deposits received) we will book the trip If not, an alternate trip will be planned
