National Reading Promotion Programme It aims to create and consolidate good reading habits among the Portuguese, with particular focus on children and young people. The programme organises projects and special activities to promote books, authors and incentives to read throughout Portugal (500 projects in 2008) in partnership with Public Libraries Network. This programme is part of Plano Nacional de Leitura (PNL) – National Reading Plan. Paula Morão – DGLB May 15th, 2008
