At the end of this session, students should be able to… Explain why classification and call numbers are useful for finding materials. Distinguish an LC call number from a Dewey call numbers.

Other libraries do it too. How do you deal with this? Use the call numbers to help you when you can. Read the catalog record carefully. Look for library maps or lists on the wall and in the elevator. Ask.
