Vocational/Trade Schools Privately-owned schools that teach students the skills needed to perform a specific job. Can be much more expensive than attending a regular college Sometimes the same certificate can be earned at a community college Examples of vocational careers: Hairstylist Automotive Technician Medical Assistant Truck Driver

Apprenticeships An apprenticeship is a combination of on-the-job training and related instruction in which workers learn the skills necessary for an occupation Must be 18, have a high school diploma and have the physical ability to perform these jobs. Some apprenticeships have aptitude tests that workers must perform well on.
