PABLO RUÍZ PICASSO Pablo Ruíz Picasso was born in Málaga the 25 of October of 1881. He was a painter, draughtsman and a Spanish sculptor. He started in the world of the painting because his father was teacher of Fine Arts. He is one of the most important painters of the 20th century. There are more than 1500 works of art in museums that have his name, like “Museo Picasso” in Barcelona. His complete name was Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Neopomuceno María de los Remedios Crispín Crispiniano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruíz y Picasso. He used his mother’s surname. He liked the Chavin culture in Perú. His life and art was influenced by wars. He is a person that has influenced in the art history. Picasso was declared pacifist and comunist and he was member of the French Comunist party until his death. He died in Notre-Dame-de-Vie (Mougins, France) in 1979, when he was 91 years old.

Blue period ( ): this is the sadliest period of Picasso. Pink period ( ): this is the happiest period of Picasso.

“Paisaje Mediterráneo” (Mediterranean landscape)
In this painting we can see the traditional Mediterranean landscape: the white houses, the sea… It’s possible that this landscape is Andalucia.

EUGENIO SALVADOR DALÍ Eugenio Salvador Dalí ( ) was a painter and a Spanish sculptor. He was born in Figueras, Girona, the 11 May of 1904. In 1921 insided in the schol of “Fine Arts” of San Fernando, in Madrid, from where he was expelled in 1926. In that time he was living in the “Residencia de Estudiantes”of Madrid, where he met Federico García Lorca, Luis Buñel, Rafel Alberti, José Moreno Villa an other artists. In 1929, during his travel to Paris, he met Pablo Picasso. Dalí made some films with the collaboration of Buñuel “Un perro andaluz”(1929) and “La edad de oro” (1930),he ilustrated books, and he made jewellery and theater clothes. He also wrote autobiography books like “La vida secreta” of Salvador Dalí (1948) and “Diario de un genio” (1965). He died the 23 of January of 1989 in Figueras.

“Gala mirando al mar Mediterráneo”
This painting is about his wife Gala. She is looking at the Mediterranean Sea through the window . And at a distance of 20 meters it’s possible to see Abraham Lincoln's portrait.
