Measuring Results: Work in Progress IDLO model for evaluating training (see hand out) Attention to training as component of project design (see logic model examples) Monitoring: training satisfaction and self-assessment of improvement (levels 1 & 2) Quarterly reports on training results to management (see hand out) Evaluating: priority to measuring outcome (level 3) Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan outcome surveys imbedded in evaluations

Challenges and Opportunities Determining common denominators in measuring outcomes (change in performance and indications of institutional change) oCollaborative pilots for measuring outcomes? (across and within sectors, by region, etc.) Compatibility between IO approach and those of national legal training centers Competition between development training service providers – how to change to collaboration?
