Outcomes of Presentation  What? Increase awareness of using data to inform decision-making process within your RPT.  Why? Starts conversations; improve strategies for retention and success rates; increase approvals in the RFP process, communicate and celebrate with your administration, community and partners about your success!  How? Using data you collect within your school boards, colleges and on the EDCS site.  When? Put “Review Data” on agenda for each RPT monthly meeting.  What’s next? Continue to work on improving the process of data collection to increase the accuracy and validity of the data.

Project Partners for ELRPT #6: Community Colleges:  Durham College  Fleming College  Loyalist College School Boards:  Durham D.S.B.  Durham Catholic D.S.B.  Kawartha Pine Ridge D.S.B.  Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington Catholic D.S.B.  Trillium Lakelands D.S.B.

Why Collect Data? Data lays the foundation for our regional program planning. It is essential that accurate information be collected to inform our decisions for the next year.

Which Data Collection System Do we Use? Each of the ELRPT school boards collect data using Adobe LiveCycle hosted on the KPRDSB Network. Each Board has there own confidential login and link to access the data entry form.

What role does the teacher play? Accurate reporting by teachers combined with a clearly worded data collection tool is key

You get what you ask for… The ELRPT team continues to learn about the importance of asking the right question. We need to be sure that our form is clear and concise.
