Comparatives To compare two people, places, things or actions use:
1.-Comparative adjectives 2.-Comparative adverbs 3.-Less+adj or adverb. 4.-(not) as + adjective / adverb+as 1

1.-Comparative adjectives:regular
One-syllable adjectives CHEAP (BARATO) CHEAP-ER THAN (Más barato que) One vowel + one consonant:double final consonant BIG (GRANDE) BIG-GER THAN (Más grande que) Two-syllable adjectives ending in consonant+y= ier HEALTHY (SANO) HEALTH-IER THAN (Más sano que ) Two-syllable adjectives not ending in “-y” BORING (ABURRIDO) MORE BORING THAN (Más aburrido que) Two or more syllables: more+ adjective EXPENSIVE (CARO) MORE EXPENSIVE THAN (Más caro que) 2

Comparative Comparativo de inferioridad 3.-Less +adj or adverb
eg.I'm less relaxed this year than I was last year. (Estoy menos relajado este año que el año pasado) Comparativo de Igualdad 4.- (Not) as+adjective/adverb+as. eg. The service in this restaurant isn't as good as it was. (el servicio en este restaurante no es tan bueno como antes) 5

Comparative -After comparative+than or as.....as we use an object pronoun (me, her,etc) or a subject pronoun+auxiliary verb. Eg. ”My brother's taller than me” My brother's taller than I am” “He's not as intelligent as her” “He's not as intelligent as she is” 6
