American Colonization Society Planned to remove blacks back to Africa The Plan – Gradual Abolishment (1 st style of Abolition) – Ship free blacks and freed slaves to Liberia – Some support, some oppose it

American Colonization Society Pro-Slavery – Gradual means we get slaves for a little while longer – We like it because it removes free blacks from our white society (America) Plus if you dont leave, some state laws will re-enslave you. Anti-Slavery – Do they think to drive us from our country and homes, after having enriched it with out blood and tears? – David Walker
