Estonian Institute: promotes Estonian culture abroad compiles different materials about Estonia intermediates different enterprises publishes magazines about Estonian culture, literature and art has three branch offices in the world (Helsinki, Stockholm, Budapest)

Estonian language studies for compatriots at least in 22 countries mostly in Sunday or supplementary schools also everyday studies the biggest communities are in Canada, United States of America, Finland, Russia educational commission decides educational issues

Supportive activities to provide schools with studymaterials (text- and workbooks) to send Estonian language teachers abroad to finance educational projects to organize training for teachers to provide academic education in Estonia to organize language camps for children

Pupils: who have Estonian roots (Estonian as a foreign language) who are Estonians and live abroad and will return to Estonia (Estonian as a mother tongue)
