In my opinion, geographical position of Australia influences the wildlife, geographical position of Australia influences the wildlife, that is why Australian animals differ from other countries that is why Australian animals differ from other countries.

Millions of years ago, Australia was part of a huge continent called Gondwanaland. But then it slowly moved and formed several different areas of land. So, Australia became cut of from the rest of the world.

Waterloving platypus – a small Australian animal, that lays eggs and has a beak like a duck’s, but gives milk to its young. The male platypus has venom strong enough and can kill a small dog.

It usually sleeps during the day. They can make an extremely loud and aggressive growling noise. Koala – is a tree-loving comical - looking animal, that lives on the eucalyptus. It will eat nothing more, only leaves.

The nest of an Emu can be up to 1,5 metres wide. If endangered, they can defend themselves by kicking. Emu – a large Australian bird which runs well but can’t fly.

I have known that the unique Australian fauna is attributed to the continent’s long geographic isolation tectonic stability the effects of an unusual pattern of climate change it was the last continent to be discovered and to be inhabited by the white man
