Objectives State tips to make activity part of your lifestyle Determine if you are ready to change. Practice exercises you can do at home.

Changing your lifestyle Change can be hard. You need support from family and friends Are you excited to start exercising or still feeling a little resistant? Its OK. Make the change when you are ready, until then, start small.

Barriers to Activity Who enjoyed their activities last week? Did anyone feel tired and skip exercise? Did anyone not get around to it?

Motivation What feelings did you get after or during your activity? Encourage others. Keep track and reward yourself for a job well done….NOT with food, of course Keep track and reward yourself for a job well done….NOT with food, of course –New song from itunes –Steam bath/oils –Time to laugh and joke with friends

Ultimate Goal We want to prevent illness and disease We want to keep our bodies healthy We want our heart to stay healthy We want to live a long, healthy, high quality life We want to be around for our loved ones.

Ultimate Goal Help you do and continue to enjoy the things you want to do. Improve your balance to prevent injury. Help feelings of depression and brighten your mood.

Lets MOVE! 5 minute walking warm up Stand on one foot – each leg Heel to toe walk Back leg raise Side leg raise Knee curl Balance walk Cardio – fast walking or jogging in place Cool Down
