Previous Year 3 Grant Budget Outcomes Resources Category 2 Focus School Overview Overview As part of a four-year cohort, Title I Focus Schools must implement state-supported reforms These reforms include the use of the Indistar Continuous Improvement Tool, and implementation and coordination of RtI initiatives in reading, mathematics and behavior, which address the following components: Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Collaborative Planning Time Core Instruction and Interventions Professional Development Early Warning Systems (EWS) (middle and high schools only)

Grant Budget Year 3 Resources Overview Outcomes Previous Expectations for Focus Schools: Previous Focus School Expectations Previous Attended the RtI Center’s Foundational Overview training. Completed the Schoolwide Implementation Review (SIR) to determine baseline RtI implementation in reading or math. Implemented PBIS in 2014-2015. Attended an Indistar training. Assessed 35 indicators within Indistar by June 30, 2013.

Focus School Requirements 2014-2015 Requirements for Focus Schools Year 3: Maintain three active objectives in Indistar (add a task, update a task, or add narrative to a task) RtI PBIS EWS (middle and high schools) School’s Choice (elementary only) Continue RtI implementation Complete and analyze SIR results annually (recommended) Continue PBIS Implementation Complete PBIS Benchmarks of Quality (BoQ) annually (recommended) Continue EWS Implementation Access and analyze data from DPI Dropout Early Warning System Indistar Checkpoints September 30, 2014 | January 15, 2015 | June 1, 2015 Grant Budget Resources Overview Previous Outcomes Year 3

Budget Overview Previous Year 3 Outcomes Resources All Focus Schools will receive a Title I-A Focus School Grant for 2014-2015 Focus School Grant 2014-2015 Grant This $14,000 grant must be used to support the professional development needs of staff or to support the utilization of Indistar. Grant applications will only be approved after the first successful Indistar compliance check in early October.

Grant Overview Previous Year 3 Outcomes Category 6 Resources Focus School Budget Budget Focus School Grant funds must be spent in 2014-15 There is no carryover for the $14,000 Focus School Grant. o All money must be spent in the 2014-2015 school year. All budget revisions and claims must be completed by June 30, 2015. LEAs with Focus Schools have the option of transferring up to 100 percent of their Title II-A funds into Title I-A. LEAs are able to reserve 20 percent of their Title I-A funds to support Focus Schools.
