Customer Service – International Dept. The thermal solar systems  Installation  Commissioning  Maintenance

Customer Service – International Dept. Checks before the installation Check all the possible sunlight obstacles and shades in the different season

Customer Service – International Dept. Rough calculation Indicative data for a rough dimensional calculation : Hot water daily consumption: 50/70 liters at 45°C per person Solar collectors surface (Italy): North = 1 – 1,1 m 2 per person Middle = 0,7 – 0,8 m 2 per person South = 0,65 – 0,7 m 2 per person Thermal storage = 70–80 litri/m 2 Example : 5 people family North Italy: 50 liters x 5 people = 250 liters per day of water at 45°C Collectors surface: from 4 to 5 m 2 Storage tank : 4,5 x 75 = 340 liters

Customer Service – International Dept. Solar panels installation Fix carefully the collectors to the support frames and do not remove the polystyrene cover sheet during the installation Connect the collector probe in the apposite housing

Customer Service – International Dept. Central unit Follow carefully the indications and the warnings

Customer Service – International Dept. System filling After the calculation of the needed fluid quantity, fill the system using an automatic pump  System cleaning (dirt, etc)  Air vent (silentness, better thermal exchange)  Check and test of the hydraulic sealing

Customer Service – International Dept. Thermovector liquid It is absolutely necessary to use the liquid supplied by Immergas Example : Solar system with 2 vacuum tubes collectors + 30 meters of copper pipes Ø18x1 Rough calculation : Vacuum tubes collector = 1,06 liters (flat = 0,96 liters) Single circulation group = 0,275 liters (0,5 lt double circ. group) Pipes Ø 18 = 0,21 liters per linear meter 300 lt storage tank lower coil = 6,5 liters System total volume = 15,42 liters

Customer Service – International Dept. Thermovector liquid The liquid circulating inside the solar system must contain a specific glycol liquid mixture in order to :  protect against freezing at low temperatures  avoid the corrosion in case of “stagnation ” flat collectors CP2 vacuum tubes collectors 20 liters Standard supplied glycol tanks 20 liters

Customer Service – International Dept. Necessary checks of the system  Check the safety devices of the sanitary circuit (d.h.w. expansion vessel, safety valve) and the position of the other devices like probes, solar pump, etc  Check the solidity of the collectors support frames on the roof (wind danger) and assess installation limits (orientation, dimensions, weight) or local rules  Check if suitable materials and components have been used (NO : zinc coated pipes, hemp, plastic, tin soldering, etc.)  Check the position of the single system devices in order to allow the easy access in case of maintenance or repair  Evaluate the matters concerning the location, the dimensions and the weight of the water full storage tank according to the place/room where it is installed  Connect the safety valve to the drain  Avoid automatic devices for the system filling

Customer Service – International Dept. The thermal solar systems  Installation  Commissioning  Maintenance

Customer Service – International Dept. System commissioning System operating pressure and flow check/regulation One way valve check System air vent Hydraulic circuit sealing check D.H.W. expansion vessel and safety valve check Central unit regulation (operation parameters, temperatures, etc) Solar circuit pump position check (system return) Check/regulation of the thermostatic mixing valve

Customer Service – International Dept. The thermal solar systems  Installation  Commissioning  Maintenance

Customer Service – International Dept. Ordinary maintenance MAIN CHECKS :  PH value (7,5) and glycol concentration  Storage tank anode wear and possible replacement  Central unit parameters and temperature probes operation  Thermostatic mixing valve set  Possible D.H.W. integration proper operation  Air vent and hydraulic circuit sealing  Expansion vessel pressure  Valves, insulations, one way valve
