RTDS Hardware Custom parallel processing computer Modular hardware design A unit of hardware is called a ‘Rack’ and typically includes: 2~6 RISC PB5 Processor Cards 1 Giga Transceiver Workstation InterFace Card (GTWIF) Main interface with the hardware is through user-friendly software Ample, convenient input and output allowing connection of physical devices The World Standard for Real Time Digital Power System Simulation

GTNET IEC Test GTNET Card Testing IEC Closed-loop relay testing The interested power system is simulated in RTDS Bus voltages and breaker currents at certain location are sent to the external physical IEDs (IEC LE or compatible) through SV messages Breaker status and tripping/reclosing signals are exchanged through GOOSE messages The World Standard for Real Time Digital Power System Simulation
