7. Young Learners/Other Learners Session Two 7  Currently, about one of every three youth in the 20-30 age group has experience as an apprentice, compared to one in four youth fifteen years ago. The percentage of young women doing an apprenticeship has doubled in the last fifteen years (World Bank, 2008a).

8.  This programme has been put together by the Government of Ghana as one of its strategies aimed at reducing youth unemployment in the country and to encourage lifelong learning among the youth.
