People used to make records as in a record of an event The event of people playing music in a room Now everything is cross marketing, its about sunglasses and shoes Or guns and drugs, you choose (What’s this passage about? What’s interesting or meaningful? What do you notice? What do you picture?)

Flannery O’Connor Read through page 4 Choose a passage from that section and write it in your notebook (daily work) Flip the page—on the back side, write down what you think is interesting/meaningful about the passage

Unpacking passages! Groups of 4 One person read their passage (NOT their interpretation. Group members discuss for a minute or two Original person read their interpretation of the passage. What did they learn from the group?
