5. Role of German Banks Central Banking Administration: -EU’s most powerful independent Bank. -Before the issue of the euro, it distributed the German currency, the Deutschmark. -Has representative banks at state level. -Is independently owned, not controlled by the government.

6. Role of German Banks Private Banks: -Banks provide financing for private businesses and enterprises. While they do conduct regular banking services, they just aren’t in such large quantity and are not the main focus.

7. Role of German Banks Public and Cooperative Institutions: -Function as “Universal Banks.” -This means they offer banking, saving, foreign exchange, and investment services. -They also hold funds or other assets, broker securities, underwrite equity issues, give advice on asset placement, and manage accounts.
