5. Biography of Ol’ Dirty Bastard Born Russell Jones in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. ODB was a founding member of Wu-Tang and was one of the most charismatic members. ODB was born in 1968 and died in 2004 of a drug overdose two days before he turned 36. Dirty was born in Brooklyn and raised by his cousins, who would become GZA and RZA and would co found the Wu. He was arrested and jailed a countless numbers of times and after he died it was discovered that he had severe psychological problems.
