31 31 The recommendation form:  must be used for recommendations/ advice pertaining to the four legally required topics  may be used for other recommendations/ advice given by the ELAC

32 32 ELAC recommends that teachers of students that may be potentially eligible for reclassification, contact parents at least once per grading period to discuss the criteria, opportunities for intervention and how parents can help their child at home. Many eligible EL students are not being reclassified. Parents of ELs need to be informed about reclassification and understand how they can provide support at home.
