38. Potential Nominees October 30, 2013 Icebreaker, March 23, 2013 Skippers' Meeting at 9:00 followed by postponement for Ice Breaking. After trial and error, the most effective method proved to be doing donuts in the open water, making waves to break and move the ice out of the way. “Never drink until after you have scored” Afternoon-Sonar and 420 Conditions on the lake were not friendly so the sonars sailed in the harbor with the 420s. This led to some interesting starts, roundings and finishes. We also found that there are some shallow objects in the harbor near the docks on the southwest side of the harbor. One of the sonars hit this and had to go back in, luckily for them, there was an extra boat to swap out with. Overall the sonars got 5 races and the 420s got 3 races in.
