2014 Summer Camp Morgan County Parks & Recreation July 14-17 PLEASE NOTE: ▪ Campers will eat as a group at the Nature Center Picnic Shelter. ▪ Snacks and drinks will be provided. ▪ Parents/Guardians are required to sign campers in and out each day. ▪ Activities are subject to change due to heat advisories and unsafe weather conditions. Monday, July 14 Animal Encounters of the Furry, Feathered, & Scaled Kind 8:30am - 3:30pm Animals of the world are varied and unique. Learn about and meet some animals that live in West Virginia. Throughout the day, play games, make your own plaster of paris animal track, and expect animals encounters. Tuesday, July 15 Splish, Splash: Wet & Wild Water Day 8:30am - 3:30pm Wanna be cool? Then come and join us for a day of celebrating water with us! We will study it, we will experiment with it, and we will even play with it. We will explore the wetlands at Cacapon State park searching for creek critters and play a series of chillin’ water games. Wednesday, July 16 Swimming & Boating Thursday, July 17 Survival in the Wild 8:30am - 3:30pm Do you have what it takes to survive out in the woods? Join us for a day of adventures as we learn the essentials for life, identifying edible plants, and identifying poisonous and venomous plants and animals. We’ll also introduce you to Geocaching, a fun outdoor activity that lets you find treasure boxes all over the world. WHAT TO BRING… Lunch Water Bottle Comfortable Clothing & Sturdy Shoes Swimsuit, Towel, and Sunscreen (on water days) WHEN TO ARRIVE… Camp days are from: Mon. - Thurs.: 8:30am-3:00pm WHERE TO MEET… Cacapon State Park Nature Center Picnic Shelter Spend the week with us, enjoying sports, games, crafts, and special guests that reflect the themes listed. There’ll be plenty of time to spend with old friends and make new ones while exploring, learning, and laughing at the beautiful Cacapon State Park.
