Take out Family Summaries and Colored Periodic Tables On pg. 23 in your binder: Write a list of distant family members (Who do not live with you). Write their first Names and their relationship to you- Example: Aunt, Uncle, Cousin, Grandparents, parents, etc…

The group number gives the number of valence electrons from that element. Each element in that group has the same amount. Transition metals are not included- they react differently.. How many groups are there if we skip 3-12….?
