This sad reality can often be prevented. “Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.” (Matthew 7:12). We must remember to think of the friendship needs of others.

We know the King of Kings: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me…” (Matthew 28:20). “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16).

Yet Jesus cared enough to give His life for us. “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for our sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich” (2 Corinthians 8:9).

For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted” (Hebrews 2:17-18).
