6 Hybrids - Not Just For Cars Anymore! Sign up for Hybrid - CL/Web Classes at PCC! What is CL/Web? Like distance learning, CL/Web uses Internet for some class assignments. Usually, there is some time in the classroom with an instructor, and some independent time to complete web work at home or in the computer lab. Hybrid classes are indicated on the PCC schedule by “CL/Web” and the footnote that some class work and assignments will be online. Web class and assignment time does not replace other assigned homework or assignments; it replaces additional hours that, in traditional courses, would be in the classroom. What do I need to take CL/Web Classes? High speed internet Connection (Dial-up won’t cut it anymore) and printer. AND/OR time to spend in the PCC computer lab Personal discipline and self motivation. Why Take a Hybrid Class? You work and can only spare one evening a week for class. You work and your boss can only spare you one evening a week for class. You are a parent who wants to spend more time at home. You are hoping to ease into distance learning. You are trying to save gas money by driving to campus less often.
