WHY FRESHMAN ACADEMY ? 2018  Increase student achievement by providing equitable access for opportunities to achieve high learner outcomes.  Improve student attendance by working with families.  Establish consistent parent/home/school communications to establish positive working relationships.  Encourage student participation in civic, sports, and social high school events to provide opportunities to thrive and succeed beyond the classroom.  Create opportunities for teachers to engage in collegial discussions about teaching and learning to support student achievement.
