Switching from ARCIMS Rationale: Complications Result
Reservoir Fluid Database originally designed using ArcIMS and Cold Fusion. ArcIMS approaching end of life (Jan 2016) IMS did not support securely web services to clients (ESA) Legacy RFDbase limited in ability to handle 1:Many sample ratios (SR, MGIA). Size impacting performance. Complications Methodology Used: Waterfall Chaos Model Agile Flex JavaScript Custom development vs. Out-of-the-box Result 1 yr to develop Version 1.0 (Viper) 9 mo to develop Version 1.1 (Mongoose) 3 mo in development for Version 1.2
