1 GeoMark’s Rock & Fluid Database
2014 GOM3 User Conference GeoMark’s Rock & Fluid Database Introduction to GeoMark Overview of GeoMark data within GOM3 Review of GeoMark’s new Rock & Fluid Database (RFDbase) Ethan Brown

2 Regional Geochemical Data & Interpretation
Analytical Services Source Rock Analysis HUMBLE Oil Analysis HOUSTON MGIA / PVT LAFAYETTE STUDIES Regional Geochemical Data & Interpretation DATABASES Rock & Fluid Databases (RFDbase)

3 Interpretive Studies ANALYSIS LEGEND Oil Oil Seep Source Rock
Rock Extract Gas Compositions & Isotopes Gas Compositions Only PVT

4 Database (RFDbase) Purpose: RFDbase contains: Data Sources
Effortlessly view all geochemical data available to you Easily extract that data for further analysis RFDbase contains: Source Rock Oil Gas Mud Gas PVT Formation Water Data Sources Study Purchases Database Subscriptions Proprietary Analysis Proprietary Loading

5 Global Geochemical Database
Data coverage for current study purchases / database subscriptions Source Rock 241,451 samples Oil 11,852 samples Gas 17,812 samples PVT 1,494 reports Formation Water 58,706 samples (US only)

6 Gulf of Mexico Coverage
Data coverage for current study purchases / database subscriptions Source Rock ~70 samples Oil ~1,400 samples Gas ~3,200 samples PVT ~200 reports ANALYSIS LEGEND Oil Oil Seep Source Rock Rock Extract Gas Compositions & Isotopes Gas Compositions Only PVT Formation Water

13 Coming Soon / Other capabilities
GOM3 updates Add Gas samples Add PVT samples Add all database ‘Oil’ samples Additional capabilities using RFDbase View all proprietary data Build Analysis-specific queries Download the data (Excel or Access) Download supporting data (D files, mass chromatograms)

14 Switching from ARCIMS Rationale: Complications Result
Reservoir Fluid Database originally designed using ArcIMS and Cold Fusion. ArcIMS approaching end of life (Jan 2016) IMS did not support securely web services to clients (ESA) Legacy RFDbase limited in ability to handle 1:Many sample ratios (SR, MGIA). Size impacting performance. Complications Methodology Used: Waterfall  Chaos Model  Agile Flex  JavaScript Custom development vs. Out-of-the-box Result 1 yr to develop Version 1.0 (Viper) 9 mo to develop Version 1.1 (Mongoose) 3 mo in development for Version 1.2
