Jesus has power over nature, demons, disease & death 1.Nature a. He is the Creator – John1:3;Col.1:16;Heb.1:2 b. He is Lord of our circumstances NOW c. He will make a new creation – Rev.21,22

2. Evil powers a.Jesus came to defeat the evil powers – 1John3:8 b.Jesus defeated them at the Cross – Col.2:13-15;Heb.2:14,15 - our sins dealt with – no accusation - death defeated – no fear c. Jesus will destroy all evil powers – Rev.20:10

3. Disease a.Jesus is the great healer/restorer b.He restores broken lives,families, bodies etc NOW - not always as we want/expect cf Joni c.Jesus will restore everything – Rev.21:4;22:1-3

4. Death a.Jesus raised people to life:- - Jairus’ daughter – Mk5 - Lazarus – John 11 - Widow of Nain’s son – Lk.7 b. Jesus defeated death through the Cross c. Jesus will destroy death – Rev.20:14

Responding to Jesus a.Recognize who he is - Creator/restorer, conqueror of evil powers,sin & death - Saviour & Lord b. Come to Jesus in faith - recognize your terrible situation - see that Jesus is your only hope

c. Live each day trusting Jesus 1.In all our circumstances – he is Lord 2.As we struggle with our sin 3.As we face disease/brokenness & weakness 4.As we face death “In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us” Rom.8:37 D. Telling others about Jesus
