State verbs: no –ing form hate, like, love, want, believe, know, prefer, understand, belong, cost, weight, hear, smell, sound, taste

worry - he worries (fly, hurry), BUT: play - he plays plan – he is planning (jog, stop, get) make – he is making (leave) lie – he is lying begin – he is beginning, forgetting (two syllables, vowel, stress on last syllable) travel – he is travelling (two syllables, end in –l) BUT: flying, hurrying
