2. He grew up in a period of unrest and the civil war in Rome. When he was young he realized that money was the key to politics in Rome.

3. Going in to Exile/ Returning Going Left Rome to join the army. During this misadventure, Julius displayed the ruthlessness which should later lead him to his world fame. While captured he joked with his captors, telling them he’d seen them all crucified, once he was released. Returning Served in 63 B.C. as a quaestor in Spain. Caesar knew that his actions were costing him fortunes. His first wife died. Caesar returned to Rome, determined to achieve political stand.

4. Caesar Defeats The Germans  Were defeated, trying to escape the field of battle. The Nerviis  They were apparently preparing to defeat the Romans. The Helvetians  The tribe of the Helvetians were forced away from their mountainous homelands.

6. Caesar- Murdered!! Five months after his arrival in Rome, he was stabbed 23 times by 40-60 senators. In this picture it shows Caesar getting murdered, he bled to death.

7. Facts It took Caesar 10 days to build a bridge over the River Rhine. Caesar became dictator of Rome, and was able to create a senate. Julius Caesar got married three times and also had affairs with Cleopatra He changed the name of the month Quintilis to Julius (July), after his name.

8. Important Dates In 100 BC, Caesar was born, 40 BC, he died. In 60 BC Caesar's career took him back to Spain. In 59 BCE he returned to Rome. In 57 BC, Caesar marched his troops northwards to deal with the Belgae.
