SHIFTING ATMOSPHERES

Content of this workshop 1. What is an atmosphere? 2. What does the bible say about dealing with atmospheres?  Warfare between kingdoms  Our identity  Our authority 3. How do you deal with atmospheres?

Have you ever had….

1. What is an atmosphere? Some examples:  Places/areas You’re starting to feel different in certain places or areas.  Persons You’re meeting someone and you have different thoughts.  Dreams You wake up and feel different than the night before.

2a. Warfare between two kingdoms For the weapons of or warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:4-6a We are called to fill the earth!

a city with walls  Proverb 25:28 He who has no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down and without walls.

God’s armor to defend and attack Put on God’s whole armor, that you may be able successfully to stand up against the strategies and the deceits of the devil. For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood, but against despotisms, against the powers, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere. Therefore put on God’s complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:11-13, AMP

2b.Your identity in Christ - Children of God: princess and princesses - Heirs of God - Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. Romans 8: 17 - You are holy, new creation, no sinner - Other verses: 2 Corinthians 5:17, 1 Peter 1:14-16, Romans 6: 10-11, 1 John 3:1-10 - One with the Spirit of God - For God did not give us a spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 We are called to take back the Fathers property

2c. Authority in Jesus The Supremacy of the Son of God I want you to know about the great and mighty power that God has for us followers. It is the same wonderful power he used when he raised Christ from death and let him sit at his right rise in heaven. There Christ rules over all forces, authorities, powers and rulers. He rules over all beings in this world and will rule in the future world as well. God has put all things under the power of Christ, and for the good of the church he has made him the head of everything. The church is Christ’s body and is filled with Christ who completely fills everything. Ephesians 1: 19-23 (CEV)

3. How do you deal with atmospheres ?  Discern  Shift  Keep focus

Discerning atmospheres But solid food is for full grown men, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil. Hebrews 5:14 What goes on in your soul (intern) What goes on externally (extern)

Discerning atmospheres Examples:  Dreams  Feeling  Words of knowledge  Pictures  Signs in the natural world  ……..

Who’s voice? Shifting atmospheres is to uncover the lies the enemy is telling you. And replace those lies with God’s truth. Three voices in your head: God You The enemy Everything that is condemning is not God’s voice! ! There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1

Familiar spirit Two ways the enemy uses to let us believe lies: 1. Twisting life experiences 2. Broadcasting lies about God into the atmospheres

Baseline Check yourself at the door!

Shifting the atmosphere Repeat after us:  spirit of ….. I see you  I will not partner with you  I send you away in Jesus’ name  and I release God’s ……. over this place/person (react in the opposite Spirit) If you have already partnered, ask God for forgiveness and whether you believed a lie. Renounce the lie. Ask and receive the truth.

Two know more than one

Protect and attack  Be led by Gods truth!  Looking from above (Gods perspective)  Perfect love drives out fear  Armour Phil 4:8  Opposite Spirit  Listen carefully (John 5: 19)  Change the atmosphere around you, according to your metron  House, family, church, neighbourhood, room in office, the place you are, etc.

Discussion  Have you experienced atmospheres?  What would the sources have been?  Which impact do you have and do you not have? Pray in groups for each other
