All Rights Reserved 6 Configuring Tally.ERP 9 Copy the file ListTaxClassERP.tcp from ShoperPOSSetups/Add-ons folder of software CD into Tally.ERP 9 application folder Edit the Tally.ini file 1.Insert the following two lines above ;;end-of-file Clientserver=client Server port= 2.Insert the following line immediately after ;; tdl=ListTaxClassERP.tcp Note:Line starting with ;; (two continuous semicolons) in the Tally.ini is treated as a comment line by Tally.ERP 9. Create a Company in Tally.ERP 9 to which Shoper 7.2 data has to be posted o In the Company Creation screen, set Maintain field to Accounts Only, since we are posting data related to accounts only and the company created is not expected to maintain Inventory

All Rights Reserved 7 Configuring Tally.ERP 9 In order to prevent the export of duplicate Sale transactions, make the following changes in Tally.ERP 9: o Go to Account Info > Voucher Type > Alter > Sales o Set Method of Voucher Numbering as Manual and Prevent Duplicates as Yes Make the changes shown above for Purchase, Credit Note and Debit Note voucher type

All Rights Reserved 8 Configuring Tally.ERP 9 To handle all the VAT related transactions: Enable VAT in the F11: Statutory Features o Set the option Enable Value Added Tax (VAT) to Yes o Set the option Set/Alter VAT Details to Yes o In the VAT Details screen, enter the VAT registration details for the selected state

All Rights Reserved 9 Configuring Shoper 7.2 Go to Setup > General Setup > System Parameter > House Keeping o IP Address: Enter the IP Address of the system which has Tally.ERP 9 installed o Company Name: Enter Company Name created in Tally.ERP 9 o Port No: Enter the Port No. on which Tally.ERP 9 Server is running o Option to Export Sales Transaction: Select 0 for Cumulative posting or 1 for Bill by Bill posting Configure Parameters related to Tally Interface in Shoper 7.2

All Rights Reserved 11 Post Data to Tally.ERP 9 Go to Housekeep > Data Export Masters > Tally Interface o Date Range: Data for the selected period will be posted to Tally.ERP 9 o Transactions: Option to export All or Selected (Sales/Purchase/Both) transaction types Once the interface is configured, Shoper 7.2 data can be exported to Tally.ERP 9.

Tally.ERP 9 is running in Education mode b. Wrong configuration during Interface mapping c. Tally is not connected to any port d. Invalid Port Number or IP Address provided during mapping e. When invalid Tally Company Name is provided Q2:How to set Port No, IP address and Tally Company Name in Shoper? Ans: Select Setup > General Setup > System Parameter Reconfiguration > House Keeping Category. o Enter Tally Port No, Tally IP Address and Tally Company Name

Ans: A message will be displayed and you are given the option to export Shoper 7.2 data manually to Tally.ERP 9. Q4:What will happen if proper Company is not selected in Tally.ERP 9? Ans: A message will be displayed and you are allowed the option to export Shoper 7.2 data manually to Tally.ERP 9.

Ans: Post data from Shoper 7.2 using the menu option. 1.Go to Housekeep > Data Export Masters > Tally Interface 2.Select Date Range and Transactions to be exported 3.Click OK A file TSddmmyy.XML is created in the Shoper OUT directory. The ddmmyy in xml file stand for date, month and year of the date entered in the To field of Date Range 3.Copy this file to the system where Tally.ERP 9 is available 4.Run Tally 5.Select Import Transactions and then select Vouchers 6.Enter the above file name in the Import File Name column 7.Select Tally (XML) Format in the Format column and click Continue Note:The XML file can be imported into Tally only after the required ledgers specified during Tally Interface Configuration and Customer / Vendor masters are created in Tally.
