Obtain information necessary for the selection of and referral of qualified applicants. Evaluate the hiring requirements of the job. Conducting the Interview

Furnish the employer information concerning actions which may be taken by staff to locate qualified workers. Explain the referral process. Let the employer know they will be contacted for updates or additional information.

If discrimination specifications are given by the employer, you must ask the employer to eliminate those specifications or we must refuse the job posting. If the employer indicates a special circumstance as directed by the Federal Government (BFOQ, etc.) then we must have a copy of the Federal notification directive on file.

The interviewer will inform the employer of the plan of action which will be followed by the office in an attempt to locate qualified workers. Candidate generation, selection and referral action should be explained so the employer will understand how we will locate the qualified workers they need. Summarize Employer Information

Information will be given to the employer regarding the time to expect referrals for interview. This is the appropriate time to explain the need for verification of the results of interviews. i.e. obtain hire information, starting wage, etc.

Mandatory match criteria are considered match eliminators. If the job seekers does not meet every one of the job posting’s mandatory criteria, they will not be listed in the match results for that posting. Job Match Key Points Job Seeker must match all languages required by the Job Posting

If entered on the job posting, the following are eliminators: Pay Typing Speed Driver’s License Key Words Job Match Key Points If Maximum pay is entered, the match uses that. If only minimum pay is entered, the match uses that.

If the hiring requirements and the workers skill factors are not equal, the interviewer will: 1.Explain to the employer the differences that are causing no matches. (Remember that you can not make changes to a job posting without the employers permission.) Adjustment to Job Postings USE NOTE PAD

2.Obtain the employer’s agreement to adjust the differences, such as: –Lower the hiring requirements Education requirements Experience requirements –Raise the worker acceptance factors Increase wages –A combination of both. USE NOTE PAD
