THEORY OF ACTION Improved teacher practice leads to improved student learning LEAD TEACHER SERIES OBJECTIVE Lead Teachers will support the professional learning of their colleagues, contributing to improved student learning 5 Role of Lead Teacher

6 Expectations for Lead Teachers Lead Teachers will: Support the work of teacher teams Work with ILT to support school-wide priorities Coordinate cross functional planning across school Collaborate and check in regularly with Principal/Headmaster Maintain & submit records of LT activities

7 Deliverables Submit logs of any work (during or outside of the school day): Drop-in office hours School-based PD sessions Common Planning Time ILT meetings Time spent distributing info, guidance docs, data, or resources Time spent developing resources, gathering data, or planning PD Capstone Product (due in early June) Work Log Collection Dates: Dec 2 nd : 4-6 work log entries Feb 3 rd : 3-5 additional entries Apr 7 th : 2-4 additional entries Upload any documents associated with your entries to the Google Drive.

25 Upcoming Evaluation Deadlines Self-assessment & first draft of goals & action plans are due in EDFS on October 1, 2014 The evaluator must review the goals in EDFS and approve or return with suggested revisions If one or both goals are returned, the educator must revise and re-submit. Goals and action plans for achieving the goals must be approved in EDFS by November 1, 2014
