1 Adjectives That Compare
Add -er to adjectives to compare two people or things. Add -est to adjectives to compare more than two people or things.

2 My tree is (larger, largest) than yours.
Read each sentence. Pick one adjective that completes the sentence. Rewrite the sentence on your own paper using the correct adjective. When you are finished, use the down arrow to check your answers. My tree is (larger, largest) than yours. Her tree was (taller, tallest) than mine! Her dog is the (smaller, smallest) one in the show. Sara had the (bigger, biggest) balloon at the party. Mike’s book was (smaller, smallest) than John’s. My ice cream cone is (bigger, biggest) than yours! The teacher is the (taller, tallest) person in the class. That tree is the (larger, largest) in the forest.

4 Challenge Work!! Write two sentences using adjectives that compare. Trade papers with a partner. Read their sentence and underline the adjective that compares. What is being compared? Write your answer at the bottom of their paper.
