9 Hybrid classes are indicated on the PCC schedule by “CL/WEB” and the footnote indicating how much time outside of class will be necessary for completing assignments. Like distance learning, CL/WEB uses Internet for some class assignments; e-mail and automated quizzes are examples. There is time in the classroom with an instructor and some independent time to complete work at home or in the computer resource center (CRC). The CL WEB time does not replace other assigned homework or assignments; it replaces additional hours that, in traditional courses, would be in the classroom. Access to Internet (or time to spend in the CRC), discipline and motivation are necessary to be successful!
