AM/PM Supply List! 1 folder with pockets inside (any design) name on inside First letter capital, the rest lowercase 6 glue sticks. 1 “Sharpie” brand fine tip black marker 1 box Crayola Twistable crayons ( 8-10) basic colors 1 box Graham Crackers ( or similar) at the start of each month starting in September. AM CLASS – 1 box (8 -10) THICK Crayola markers 1 box unscented baby wipes 1 box gallon size Ziplock bags PM CLASS – 1 box 8 - 10 THIN Crayola markers 1 box kleenex 1 box sandwich size ziplock bags Please bring supplies to your Kindergarten Appointment in August/September A Tiger Book Bag (a gift from Shadow Lake) will be given to each child at their kindergarten appointment. NO BACKPACKS are used in kindergarten.

3. When you come to see me … In mid-August your family will get a postcard from Shadow Lake School It will tell them when to bring you to school to see me! Bring your supplies if you have them… I’ll give you your special Tiger Book Bag to bring to school each day. I’ll show you where to put your coat. We will learn about our bathroom. You‘ll draw a picture of yourself & write your name. We’ll count caterpillar legs! You will name some shapes & numbers you know. Read or sing your ABCs. Read a book together! WOW! Your grown up will have some work to do on the table next to us! They'll be busy!

4. Please Practice Our Kindergarten Promises Ways to keep us safe and happy! Walk inside and on the sidewalk. Raise your hand and wait a turn Keep hands and feet to yourself. Use your short voice inside Always be a kind heart! Follow directions quickly.

5. Coming to School. The first day of school for Kindergarten is Friday Sept 6 th. I will wait out by the bus drop off for you. Don’t worry, I will stay right there until everyone arrives. If you come by car your family will bring you around to the bus area to meet me. When everyone arrives we’ll go into class.

6. Leaving school. Don’t worry I will know which bus you ride on. We walk out together in a line, then I say goodbye to you as you get on the bus. I will do that every single day. Always say “ Goodbye Mrs. Baldwin !” Your job is to sit quietly on a seat. Listen to the bus driver. Your bus driver knows where you live.

7. Pick Up Friends If you are not leaving on the bus, your family will always let school know by phone or note. Don’t worry! The school office will send me a message. Grown ups will wait for you by our main office. I will take you to meet your grown up on our way to the buses.PMK pick ups will sit at a special table to wait …I’ll show you. Always say “ Goodbye Mrs. Baldwin !”

If you can’t come to the Kg appointment time, please call the office (413-6100) and we’ll try to reschedule if at all possible.
