SER y ESTAR TO BE or not TO BE….. That is the question.

SER– to be Use SER to refer to a permanent, or relatively permanent, condition. SER: –states identity and professions (name, gender, job) –describes people and things (height, coloring, weight, beauty, ) –describes the origin of a person or thing.

ESTAR– to be Use ESTAR to refer to a temporary or current condition. ESTAR: describes location (“My wallet is in my purse.”) describes emotions and physical conditions (I am tired, happy, sad, sick)

SER– to be 1. soy 4. somos 2. eres 5. sois 3. es 6. son

ESTAR– to be 1. estoy 4. estamos 2. estás 5. estáis 3. está 6. están
