In the Bible, Paul said:
Love is patient, and it is kind.
It isn’t jealous or envious.
It doesn’t boast, and it isn’t proud.
Love isn’t selfish and it isn’t rude.
Love doesn’t want to always have its own way.
Love isn’t irritable and it isn’t grumpy.
Love doesn’t keep dragging up the bad things people do and wave it in their faces.
Love can’t stand it when people are unfair, and
Love is always glad when the truth comes out at last.
Love is always loyal no matter what, always believes the best of people, and always stands up for them.
Love goes on for ever.
